Website Redesign

The Lower San Pedro Watershed Alliance is a small nonprofit with a big impact, and in 2022, they realized that they had outgrown their existing website. They had more to say than was possible within the structure of their existing site, and they also needed an updated, mobile responsive design to better connect with their members and supporters. And, as a volunteer-run organization, they wanted their site to be relatively low-maintenance so they could focus their limited time and resources on their conservation efforts. I helped them weigh the benefits and cons of a few different platforms at a variety of costs. I ultimately set them up on their preferred platform, Google Sites, because it was both free and easiest for them to use.

They offered a wealth of great information and content, including hundreds of wonderful photos of the region. I helped them organize and prioritize their materials and needs, and worked with them to find a user-friendly navigation menu to help structure their new content areas. I also significantly fleshed out the home page so that users could more quickly understand who they are at a glance. Now their work, mission, news, and invitation to join are all easily accessible directly from the homepage, and their content throughout is broken up with descriptive headers to help guide readers through their materials.
