The Great Bend of the Gila in central Arizona is an extraordinary landscape of historical, cultural, and natural significance. To help advocate for the long term protections of this fragile landscape, the Respect Great Bend coalition needed a strong logo and brand identity.
For the logo, I showcased three landscape features—a saguaro cactus (signaling this landscape’s location in the Sonoran desert), a culturally significant mountain peak from the heart of this landscape, and the river’s bend, for which this landscape is named. All three components flow into one another, emphasizing the landscape’s continuity and interconnectedness, while creating a rhythm of threes that’s reiterated in the communications materials (themes revolve around “Respect, Reflect, and Protect”).
In addition to creating the logo and brand identity, I also designed their main campaign fact sheet and their main email newsletter.
