Designing the annual reports for Archaeology Southwest every summer is an absolute pleasure, and finding the best layout and images to help communicate the many successes that their donors, supporters, volunteers, and program participants make possible is an inspiring process. By including shorter, graphic pull-quotes, callouts, or infographics alongside longer program descriptions, we ensure that skimmers and thorough readers alike will get to enjoy the past year’s program highlights. Each program description is also paired with an immersive photo to help draw readers in, and the end result is a true collaboration between myself, various photographers, and the communications and development teams at Archaeology Southwest.
