Since 2015, I have worked with Archaeology Southwest (first as an employee and now as a contractor), on their namesake publication, Archaeology Southwest Magazine. Presenting the latest research on a variety of topics, this esteemed publication has long been a staple in the classroom, and it is a must-read for many professionals and advocates who enjoy keeping up with current research and insights on the Southwest’s past. In my time with this magazine, I’ve worked to showcase high-quality photography of the Southwest’s many special heritage places and landscapes. Doing so helps capture the attention of a wider readership, ensuring that more people will take an informed and active interest in the continued protection of these significant places. Now sold in many park and museum bookstores, Archaeology Southwest Magazine is connecting more people throughout the country to Archaeology Southwest’s important work, mission, and research.
